Pitt will be open for the fall. All activities of the University—teaching, housing and residence life, student activities, food services, research, athletics and more—will still occur, but according to the requirements in our infection prevention and control program. We will modify some of our activities to ensure that they remain safe and consistent with our commitment to managing risks related to the novel coronavirus.

The University remains committed to providing the finest educational experience, with the health, safety and well-being of our campus community guiding every decision we make. The Office of the Senior Vice Chancellor for Research has compiled preliminary interim guidance and resources for a Research Restart at Pitt. Please visit that page often for the latest information.

Pitt will be open for the fall. The current planning effort supports all activities of the University, including teaching, housing and residence life, student activities, food services, research, athletics and more. These activities will still occur, but according to the new requirements outlined in our infection prevention and control program. As a result, we will need to modify some of our activities to ensure that they remain safe and consistent with our commitment to manage risks related to the novel coronavirus.
